and Petrology of Funagata volcano, northeast Japan."
Work supervised by Professor Masao Yamasaki.

1990 Awarded the degree of PhD in Geology and Mineralogy
for a thesis entitled "Petrological study of the Akan volcanic
field, eastern Hokkaido, with special reference to mixing and
evolution of magmas." Work supervised by Professor Yoshio
Katsui.
